Year 8 to Year 12 Enrolment Process and Timeline

Year 8 to Year 12 Enrolment Process and Timeline

For Years 8 to 11, enrolment applications for the following year are open from March to November. Applications received after 10 December will be placed on a waiting list.

Mater Dei does not generally accept mid-year enrolments but applications will be considered on an individual basis using the following guidelines:
• is Catholic;
• recently relocated to Wagga during the school year; and,
• their most recent school report is highly commendable.

Prospective Year 11 students are invited to attend the Year 11 Information Night held in early Term 3 and advertised in the local media. This evening provides information about senior courses on offer as well as the enrolment process and timeline for senior students

Enrolment forms are available to download here.

Completed forms and supporting documents are returned to the Enrolment Secretary at the College who will arrange an interview with the principal if places exist for the following year. Alternatively, parents/carers will be advertised that they can be placed on a waiting list for an interview if a place becomes available for the following year.

At the enrolment interview elective courses are selected for Year 9-12 students.

Enrolment Offers

If a place becomes available, the prospective student may commence during the school year at a time convenient to the College.

The same Enrolment Acceptance process for Year 7 applies. Details are included above in the Year 7 section.

Mount Erin Boarding

Applications for Boarding at Mount Erin occur as a separate process from the Mater Dei Enrolment process.

Students from Year 7 to Year 12 have the option of Weekly Boarding at Mount Erin Boarding (MEBS), which is located in Edmondson Street.

Information is available here or phone 02 6932 6199.

Student Departures

When departing from the College, parents are requested to follow College procedures in consultation with the Enrolments Secretary. Upon the satisfactory completion of those requirements, a formal letter confirming the cessation of enrolment will be forwarded by the Principal and posted to parents. Due to the high level of interest in enrolments, if a student voluntarily leaves the College to attend another school in Wagga, they cannot generally re-enrol at the College.
