The College employs a full time Aboriginal Schools and Community worker who supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with their academic care, as a member of the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing Team. Under the leadership of the Aboriginal Schools and Community Worker, the College provides Aboriginal cultural education and experiences for staff and students in order to support the improvement of the educational outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and to further the understanding of Wiradjuri history and culture.

 

Our College ensure that an understanding of the cultures and heritage of Aboriginal Australia are developed through the implementation of learning programs and experiences that are based on culturally inclusive pedagogy. This allows Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to be strong in their own culture, language, histories, beliefs and lifestyles in a way which affirms identity and the ability to operate in cross cultural environments. 

The College provides Aboriginal cultural education and experiences for all staff and students in order to support schools to improve the educational outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to further the understanding of Aboriginal histories and cultures by the sensitive inclusion of appropriate material concerning traditional and contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and heritage.
